GREETINGS MY FRIENDS!
“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:1-3)
Let me quote the words of the First President of the United States of America, George Washington, on October 2, 1789 “I do recommend and assign Thursday… to be devoted by the people… to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all good that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for his kind care and protection of the people of this country.”
There are a lot of things I need to be thankful for: Thankful to God first and thankful to you.
It’s been a good year for me. I THANK God for that.
I THANK God for being alive. Last year at this time I was in the hospital with 10% chance to live. I was (I would say) in a death stage for over a week. I THANK the Lord for a very supportive family. There is no one like my wife. She was at my side the whole time. She is a gift from God. My daughter did not hesitate to donate stem cells for the Bone Marrow Transplant. Now don’t be surprise if my voice changes. Haha. LOL! Someone said this: “When it come to needing help, nothing like a daughter.” I agree. Thank you Myrtha.
Therefore I want to give THANKS to God for His miracle. It took God a miracle to bring me back to life. What can’t my God do? what my God cannot do doesn’t exist yet and will never exist. The doctors just shake their head when they now see me. I THANK the Lord for His provision because there is no way I could afford one med that cost $13,280 for one month. God provides it for me for nine months so far. Isn’t God good?
I THANK the Lord for the survival of the ministry in Lacroix during my two years of absence. Someone said that this is a sign that God’s hand is on this ministry. I agree.
I THANK the Lord for my wife Ermithe. He gave her to me. She is mine and vice versa. She is doing such a tremendous work in Lacroix for God’s glory. I THANK the Lord for a very good and sturdy staff who works along with my wife to keep the wheels turning. I mean people like my son Kerby, Pastor Evens, Pastor Wisner, Me Altenor, Dufort, Celarece to name just these.
I THANK the Lord for Dan and Madel Beck who heard His call to move to Haiti to help establish a vocational school. I THANK the Lord for leading them step by steps. Thank you Dan and Madel,
I also THANK the Lord for Pastor Brad Barber whom He has used to come with the idea of the Haiti Summit which is a blessing and for the ministry and for the churches and individuals that support the ministry. What a blessing! Thank you Pastor Brad.
I would like to thank Pastor Brad’s dad, Archie for doing so much for us even though he makes no mention of anything. Thank you Archie for instilling in your son the vision of Lacroix..
I also THANK the Lord for Pastor Jeff Lyle, the lead Pastor, at Good News Gathering for supporting strongly Pastor Brad’s idea of the Haiti Summit. Thank you Pastor Jeff.
I THANK the Lord for the commitment and dedication of the Outreach Teams to Lacroix Mission. More teams have been going during my two years absence than when I was there. Two vehicles were purchased for about $120,000.00 during this time. And this happened because of your great generosity. Thank YOU.
PP You better stay where you are so that more outreach teams can go and more vehicles can be bought especially that new donkey you mentioned in your recent update. Ha Ha ! God forbid! I believe you all put your hands in the dough not only to show your loyalty to God and to the ministry that He has entrusted to me, but also to speed up my recovery. This is a sign that it was not me who was your focus but the ministry. Thank you! I THANK God for that. I am at loss for words to express to you all my gratitude.
I also want to express my thanks and gratitude to Friends of Haiti for their commitment and dedication to Lacroix Mission. These three wonderful and awesome women Denise, President of Friends of Haiti ,and two treasurers Donna and Liz for working voluntarily night and day to keep the wheels turning. I thank their husbands for sacrificing their time in order for their wives to have time to do what needs to be done. Any time I have a request they have the answer. Haha. LOL What would I do without them?
When the need showed for someone to be responsible to schedule the Outreach teams Sister Sandy was volunteer for that position without being asked. Thank you Sister Sandy.
You will be surprised to know that Sister Sandy Conley has already started the itinerary for teams for year 2020. January 2020 is already full and the week of April 1 -April 10, 2020 is already taken by the Church of the Holy Spirit Anglican. Unbelievable! Thank you Sister Sandy for taking this great responsibility to heart. There is still room in 2019 if you haven’t called her yet The week of January 5 -12 2019 is open. What would I do without you, Sister Sandy?
I would like to thank Laurie Adams for her commitment and her great generosity to this ministry. I want to thank her for the money given toward the school building in Pacot besides her multiple contributions for various projects, for her commitment to deworm the kids twice a year and to hold mobile clinics in the very remote villages of Lacroix and for giving herself, body, soul and spirit to God’s cause. Thank You Laurie.
Hopefully I will be able to catch up with my visit to the churches this coming year in June, September and November. Please pray for that. I ‘ve been missing you so much that I dare not spend three years in a row like this, I will die. You are too good to me. I do not deserve all that you do for me.
