A few years ago at LaCroix, when we talked about bees and honey production, everyone thought of the late Gary Leever. He was a member of the Maineville United Methodist Church in Maineville, Ohio, where the Reverend Steve Fultz serves as pastor. Anyone who knew him knows he was a passionate beekeeper. Each year, he traveled twice, coming to LaCroix, not only to set up his hive and take care of it but also to train other people in this profession that he loves so much.

In the spirit of honoring the memory of this humble and generous man, we are continuing this beekeeping program. As it was his will to ensure that we succeed in marketing the honey, therefore we were in touch with a man with competence in the matter who is now currently working on the mission to make our hive more productive and train new youngsters in beekeeping. As soon as we arrive at a satisfactory product that can be marketed, the name which will be displayed on the label will be “BEE LEEVER.” Let us pray for the realization of this project.
