Although we were instrumental in the building of the clinic, it runs without support from Friends of Haiti. Haitian nurses and a dentist staff the clinic. There is a Haitian doctor on site part-time.
Occasionally, American doctors travel to the clinic to offer assistance by seeing patients, and offering teaching seminars in birthing techniques, and other continuing education programs to the staff and midwives of the community. We also offer prenatal programs for mothers to help improve the infant mortality rate. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the services that the clinic offers to the people of Haiti.
