PRECIOUS FRIENDS:
They often say, “Time flies.” It really does. Just a few years ago I was 29 years old. Now I am …… You thought I was going to tell you. No I won’t. If I tell you my age you are not going to believe in what I am about to tell you.
Last year at this time we were preparing to celebrate THANKSGIVING. Today we are doing the same thing again CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING.
THANKSGIVING is Giving Thanks. To Whom? To God and Those used by God to answer your prayers when it comes to material and physical needs. Though we celebrate Thanksgiving on the last Thursday in November as a custom but for us Christians we celebrate Thanksgiving every day. Thanksgiving is an everyday thing.
I think if there is one thing that hold Americans together as One Great Nation under God is their great generosity. With the economy the way it is you could just focus on your own needs and forget the outside world. In the contrary you forget about yourselves to meet the needs of others, the Haitians for example.
The reason God continue to bless America is because you Americans you are a good channel of His blessings. He finds that he can trust you. I asked a friend last year where does America find money to help other countries while they are themselves in financial crisis? Here is what he told me: “Our nature is to give. We borrow money to give to those in need.” Quite an answer! I often use this saying, ” Don’t rob Peter to pay Paul” when people come to me for help and I don’t have any money to help. Sometimes they say, “Can I go and borrow money for them?” To which I often say, “My name is Peter; the saying say, “Don’t rob Peter to pay Paul.”
THANK YOU GOD AND THANK YOU AMERICA! GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Believe it or not, “Had it not been for you Americans, there would not be a Haiti.” Myself when I was starving after the death of my parents it was the Mennonites Missionaries who rescued me and gave me Hope. What I am doing today in my ministry in Lacroix is a gratitude to what they did for me. ” As one said, “You are blessed to bless.” This is the American People. Imagine what would I be today had it not been for you American People that God put on my way. Thank You. Thank You.
In this Thanksgiving season I would like to thank God for what he has done for me. He sent His Son, his only Son, to die on the cross for my sins in order to save me and to bring reconciliation between me and the Father. I thank God for calling me in ministry after he called me to salvation.
Another big Thing I thank God for is My Wonderful and Beautiful Wife. You know, had it not been for the difference in our skin color (I mean my wife and I) people would think that I am her father because I am much older than her. But I am not. I am her wonderful husband. I often tease my wife asking her what would she do without me? I am not going to tell you her answer.
Today in this holiday season, I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you all for all that you have done for me from the time I was introduced to you till now. You have blessed me, my family and the ministry beyond imagination. You always stand with me in good days and in bad days. You are the one who cause me to be still in the ministry. You let the Lord use you to provide daily. I am amazed at what you have done.
When my life and that of my family was in danger in Haiti in 2003 to 2005, and when you realized the situation was unbearable you station me in Florida in order for my wife and I to continue to do the ministry with no much worries.
When I was so ill in Florida in 2008, not only you prayed for me but you came to Florida to visit me and to support my family. You even sent gift cards for my wife to buy fuel for her multiple trips to the hospital and to buy food for the rest of the family. You helped pay all my bills. When the physicians gave up on me saying, “That’s it. There’s nothing we can do for you.” Through your intercessory prayers God healed me miraculously. For the first time in History that I know of, one with no health insurance was debt free after three months. All this is because of you. Whatever needs we have either personal or ministerial, once you are aware of it you provide generously. About a few months ago I raised $20,000.00 in two days to buy a vehicle. If there is one who should celebrate Thanksgiving it ought to be me because God had done more for me than anybody else.
Thank you for all you have done. for all you are doing and for all you will be doing for this ministry in Lacroix. We could not do it without you. Thanks for letting God use you to bless this ministry. Because of you this Holiday Season, Thanksgiving, is very significant to us.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Don’t forget to give Thanks to God!
Thankfully.
