FRIENDS:

“Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live” (Ps 146:1-2).

PP can’t believe that it is already time for another update. PP How do you time your updates? Good question. Usually it is once a week but when I am inspired and there are news to share I write two to three updates a week. When PP has started to send updates on a regular basis some of you said that PP is back. You are right. When I had to be in the hospital it was not easy to write updates for I always want to share good news with my FRIENDS.

As I told you last week, Purcellville Baptist Church World Missions Team from Burcellville, VA, had arrived on Saturday July 8. The team Leader is Marcus Perry a man of great wisdom and great love for the Lord. He enjoys what he is doing leading World Mission Team to Haiti. The Team conducted VBS in Lacroix for two days, in Lacoupe one day, in the village of Parcot one day and yesterday in Foucardes . It takes about two hours one way to Foucardes: one hour by truck and one hour by foot. You have to hike up hills. It is easy to get out of breath especially if suffer with asthma. There were twenty on the team. Every one attending VBS was fed as well as helpers and translators.

Josh, one of the team members, accompanied by another young man from the team, taught Electric Welding to some students in Lacroix. Josh does that every year. He is very patient and he does a very good job with the students. He is very talented. He came last year as well. Hopefully he is coming next year. Thank you Josh.

It is a very good summer program for the children. Everyone, including the children, was blessed. Due to a lot of rain that damaged the road to Paul the team was not able to go there for only the Toyota Land Cruiser can go in such situation. With this said you can understand why we need another Land Cruiser. By the way we are on our financial way to buy it. I believe there is about $25,000.00 available. Not quite half yet of the needed amount. Purcellville Baptist Church is sponsoring over 50 children. Desiree Voegele is the Haiti Child Sponsor Representative. She came also on the trip. I thank God for that.

They also support one of our Pastors on a monthly basis and they even built a very nice house for him in Gonaives to stay with his family. The house costs over $50,000.00 USD. Thank you Purcellville Baptist. You have enlighten my burden in so doing. The team went to visit the said house because there were a lot of new people who came this year as they always do each year. The Team leaves today. They had a great time with the children. I forgot to tell you they also hired translators to help with the VBS. My job when I was there was to work with these translators in order to get them ready because they always give the topic months before they come.

This morning at 9:40 arrived the Crosspoint Church AKA Clinton Road Baptist Church Outreach in Port au Prince, Haiti. They arrived in Lacroix around 2:30 PM. They had a safe trip to Lacroix. Crosspoint church is from the State of New York. Again the New truck was on the road today taking the Purcelleville people back to the airport and bring the Crosspoint church team to Lacroix. Thank you again for your investment. I appreciate your giving. Always in need of vehicles.

PP you know some Abbreviation? Yes he does. His granddaughter taught him some. I know AKA Also Known As. Like BBS Be back soon. BBT be back tomorrow. BIF Before I forget. This is a good one for my age I have a tendency to forget. The team leader is Dan and Madel Beck. Madel is the Child Sponsor Representative at Crosspoint. They sponsor around 60 children in Lacroix. I thank God for that.

Crosspoint Outreach has 21 on the team. They have VBS people, Construction people, medical people, Evangelism people. The Senoir Pastor the Rev. Sam Macri is also with them. You know the Baptist are very strong on evangelism. PP are you Baptist? Yes, this month of July I am fully Baptist. Crosspoint is there for two weeks.

Pastor David Morgan, former Pastor at Hillside, and Pastor Jeff Marshall actual Pastor at New Day Assembly of God, had often teased me about that. When I come to their church they ask me if I am Hillside today or Assembly of God today. I always gladly say YES. You know when you are dealing with starving children, children who need to go to school, people who need a roof over head, students who graduate High school and who need money to go to College you cannot have denomination. Lacroix Mission is a Non Denominational Work. Of course I was trained and mentored by Non Denominational Missionaries. Hope I do not offend anyone. If I do Please Forgive PP.

Dan Beck has a lot of construction projects to work on during the two weeks that he is there. He has the sewing rooms over head of the school cafeteria, the medical residence in Paul and the school building there in Paul. You know this is the very first project Brother Dan did. He saw the need he went back to New York and raised money and return with his lovely daughter Heather to build the roof. Since it is a very big school he has to do it by section. Doctor Tommy Tigar from Ohio, has helped him in one of the sections. The building is in a U shape.

They are going to have VBS in the villages as well as small mobile clinic. Evangelism every night. They plan to have it inside because it is rainy season.
I will give you more details next week Lord willing.

How is PP doing? PP is doing very well. I go now once a week at the Infusion Center for blood work. The Hgb is now 12.6 Platelets is 84. It was 210 a week ago and ANC is 1.9. Doctor says that it is normal for they expect it to go down and it will go back up again. You know I give God the glory when I know if I were in Haiti I would not make it with an Hemoglobin of 4.1. It makes me weep over the condition of my people back home. It is sad. I was happy to hear the new President of Haiti on the day of his inauguration to say what Haiti needs is a working Hospital. In his first 100 days he dedicated a Dialysis Center in Port au Prince and he promised to have one in each department by August this year. He said people he talked to even physicians did not believe he could realize this center in the first 100 days of his government.

Thank you again for your support. Your support to the ministry is a great contribution toward my healing. You allow me to focus on my healing and not on the needs of the ministry. THANK YOU!

ADONAI said to Moshe, Speak to Aharon and his sons, and tell them that this is how you are to bless the people of Isra’el:you are to say to them,

“Y’varekh’kha ADONAI v’yishmerekha.

[May ADONAI bless you and keep you.]

Ya’er ADONAI panav eleikha vichunekka.

[May ADONAI make his face shine on you and show you his favor.]

Yissa ADONAI panav eleikha v’yasem l’kha shalom.

[May ADONAI lift up his face toward you and give you peace.]’

B’MIDBAR (NUMBERS) 6 :22-26
